Matthew For District 4
I’m Matthew Hardwick, and I’m running to be your next Cobb County Commissioner for District 4. For the past 16 years, I’ve called Cobb County home, raising my family and working in the telecommunications industry as a Video Design Engineer. With 37 years of experience in this field, along with my service in the U.S. Army, I understand the importance of dedication, discipline, and problem-solving—qualities I will bring to this role. My wife, Marissa, and I have built our lives here, and with five children and five grandchildren, I want to ensure Cobb County remains a place where families can thrive.
I entered this race because I believe in responsible government and true representation. The money you earn belongs to you, not the government. But for too long, the current leadership has ignored the voices of the people, consolidating power in a way that silences entire districts. That’s not how democracy is supposed to work. As your commissioner, I will fight to restore transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility, ensuring that every resident in District 4—and across Cobb County—has a voice in the decisions that impact their lives.
